AIRBUS Lifecycle Service Centre | Project Phoenix MRO

Missions

Airbus, in Joint-venture with Tarmac Aerosave, invested in a new maintenance and recycling centre in Chengdu, China, in order to extend aircraft lifecycle.

The project includes:

  • A hangar with 2 Code E/F (Long Range) positions or 4 Code C (Single Aisle) positions,
  • An engine workshop (top case repair),
  • Storage warehouses for the Joint Venture and Satair,
  • Maintenance workshops,
  • A technical center, staff facilities, and office areas,
  • Zones dedicated to greening and dismantling operations (Part 145 / non-Part 145),
  • Outdoor MRO maintenance areas,
  • A run-up area (engine test bay),
  • Aircraft storage lines (final capacity of 125 units; 80% Code C & 20% Code E/F).

setec serige is responsible for:

  • The program definition phase,
  • The Basic Design (representing 50% of the total design effort),
  • The cross-check of the Detailed Design executed by Capdi,
  • Acting as the Owner’s Representative during the construction phase.
