AIRBUS | A350 FAL

Missions

Design and construction supervision of 5 Airbus A350 XWB assembly halls at the Colomiers site (31, France). The facilities are designed for a production rate of 13 aircraft per month.

setec serige is responsible for Technical Project Management, covering the following disciplines:

  • Civil engineering (steel structures, cladding, flooring)
  • Site infrastructure (VRD)
  • Aircraft fluids (compressed air, 400 Hz systems)
  • Special equipment
  • Electrical engineering – High/Low voltage (CFO/CFA)
  • Building energy management – including thermal constraints
  • Environmental permit monitoring (ICPE)

The scope also includes the design of the Technical Center program and the fire water disposal system (capacity: 1,200 m³/h).

 


 

The assembly plant will include:

  • 1 fuselage section preparation and PHR station
  • 2 fuselage assembly stations
  • 4 wing and PHR assembly stations on fuselage
  • 4 overhead cranes – 2 × 7T
  • 4 overhead cranes – 12T, large doors

As well as all ancillary facilities necessary for the assembly line operation, including:

  • Logistics areas
  • Workshops
  • Locker rooms
  • Offices

Challenges

  • The A350 Final Assembly Line (FAL) is one of setec serige’s first achievements in the MRO sector,
  • A dedicated team was established to provide real-time support and manage the project holistically, enabling the delivery of solutions across all technical disciplines for this complex industrial project.
